AFTER much back and forth for the past few months, actor and director Syamsul Yusof, 39, has finally agreed to divorce his estranged wife Puteri Sarah Liyana Megat Kamaruddin, 38, next week.

He is expected to pronounce his talak at the Kuala Lumpur Syariah Court on April 18. Puteri Sarah, 37, said that she was “thankful” with the results of discussions conducted by the representatives of both parties over the last few days.

“Alhamdulillah for the decision.

We have been having discussions and meetings over the last few days on the terms and conditions and everything has been resolved,” said Puteri Sarah in an interview with a media outlet.

“Hopefully, this will enable both of us to move on with our lives.”

Syamsul and Puteri Sarah were scheduled to be briefed by the reconciliation committee which they had earlier appointed by order of the court.

However, the committee had decided to endorse their decision to divorce.

The reconciliation committee first met on April 24 at the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department, but failed to make a decision on their marriage.
