KUCHING: The Sarawak Research and Development Council (SRDC) will hold its second Research that Matters symposium from Nov 5-7.

The three-day event aims to foster collaboration and innovation within Sarawak’s research community, bringing together experts from academia, research agencies, and industry.

“The symposium will explore a diverse range of topics, from biomedical research to engineering innovations. Attendees will have the chance to engage in plenary sessions, participate in insightful presentations, and network with peers,”said SRDC in a statement Monday (Oct 21).

The event will also showcase achievements from SRDC-funded research, offering a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Experts from the UK, Singapore, Thailand, and South Korea will be present to share their insights on topics like vaccine development and diagnostic tools.

The event will be officiated by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg who is also chairman of the Sarawak Research and Development Council.

Supported by the Sarawak government and Business Events Sarawak, the symposium highlights the role of business events in community empowerment, biodiversity conservation, and investment.
