SIMUNJAN: The Simunjan District now has its first tahfiz centre after the completion of the building at a cost of RM700,000.
According to Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris, the tahfiz centre will be operated by the Simunjan Islamic Welfare Board.
“Alhamdulillah, the new building for the Simunjan Tahfiz Centre with a cost of RM700,000 for both male and female students is fully completed,” he said at the handover ceremony of the completed building site recently.
Awla witnessed the site handover by a representative from the Public Works Department (PWD) Samarahan Division, Allan Chu to the representative of the Simunjan Islamic Welfare Board, Awang Ismail Awang Wahab.
The tahfiz centre is located in Taman Hijrah, adjacent to the Simunjan District Mosque, and it was carried out under the allocation of the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) for the year 2022.
The project commenced on Jan 13 and was fully completed last October.
