KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud with his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib attended a state banquet in conjunction with the opening of the 19th State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting at the assembly building’s dining hall here yesterday.
Taib was accompanied by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang.
Also present were Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Datuk Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian.
State DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar as well as state Cabinet ministers and DUN members also attended the dinner.
