THE late Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud has left the state with a legacy that will never be forgotten, said Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii.
He said throughout his leadership in the state of Sarawak, the late Taib had made significant contributions to the development of Sarawak.
“As Sarawak’s ‘Father of Modernisation’, he empowered comprehensive development in both urban and rural areas.
“Under his leadership, Sarawak embarked on an era of industrialisation, leaving a legacy that will never be forgotten,” he said.
Elaborating further, Huang said the legacy that Taib left was concerning the heritage of progress, development, and unity among ethnicities, which served as an inspiration for the people of Sarawak to continue advancing their beloved state.
“He, indeed will always live on in the hearts of us all,” he said.
