MIRI: Datuk Lee Kim Shin hopes that more private hospitals and private clinics here will act as vaccination centres (PPVs).
“With more participation, herd immunity can be achieved sooner,” the minister in charge of Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee said on Wednesday (June 9) after visiting KPJ Specialist Hospital in Permyjaya.
The Sarawak Transport Minister was there to inspect the arrangement made for the vaccination process on June 14.
“For a start, KPJ Specialist will be able to vaccinate about 50 perssons a day, and they can increase the number to 200 a day because of the huge space they have here.”
KPJ Specialist Hospital is among four private hospitals in this division serving as PPV – the others are Columbia Asia Hospital Miri, Borneo Medical Centre Miri and Miri City Medical Centre.
