BINTULU: The Sarawak women’s sepak takraw team have advanced to the semifinals after a 3-0 victory over Penang in their round-robin group stage match last night.

They delivered an impressive performance, winning all three regus decisively. In the first regu, Sarawak notched up scores of 15-2 and 15-6.

The second regu saw Sarawak clinching victory with scores of 15-8 and 15-12. In the final regu, Sarawak secured a 15-3 and 15-7 win, at the D Stadium Muhibah Bintulu.

Assistant coach Mohamad Fatan Akhba Radua was satisfied with the team’s performance but cautioned against complacency.

He stressed the importance of staying focused for the upcoming crucial matches against Perak and Sabah.
