KOTA SAMARAHAN: Enthusiasts of documentaries will find a talk by awards winning documentary film maker Harun Rahman interesting and beneficial.
To be held at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) on April 18, the event also includes a sharing session with the speaker.
The talk session is held in conjunction with the 15th Mini Film Festival, which is spearheaded by Unimas Cinematography Association.
Active in making environmentally related documentaries, Harun has been commissioned by international documentary broadcasters including National Geographic Channel, History Channel and Discovery Channel which has garnered him international recognitions.
Among those award-winning documentaries were Among Great Apes with Michelle Yeoh for Best Wildlife Documentary in Asian Television Awards 2010 and Sumatra’s Last Tigers for Best TV Documentary and Best Wildlife Film at Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Fest.
Sharing his vast experience in making documentaries from technical aspects to writing, as well as his involvement in the advocacy of MyDocs (Malaysian Documentary Association) as its president, the talk will be conducted in two sessions from 9am until 5pm.
