KUCHING: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre (SBC) will be hosting a talk entitled ‘Green Hydrogen from Biomass’ today.
In its Facebook post, SBC said the talk would be delivered by Professor Dr Masaharu Komiyama from the Chemical Engineering Department and Centre for Biofuel and Biochemical Research, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) and his research focused on catalysis and physical chemistry.
Komiyama will speak about green hydrogen produced through carbon neutral route, the feedstocks used and the possible technologies involved in green hydrogen production.
“Details of each process will be described and compared, along with the possibility of utilising biomass as a hydrogen carrier.
“Based on the current hydrogen value chain, possible quantum that could be supplied from biomass for sustainable and renewable energy will be discussed and addressed during the talk,” the social media post said.
