PUSA: The Tandang Sari Regatta (RTS) is held with the aspiration to celebrate the rich cultural, historical, and artistic diversity of the Pusa District as well as the Maludam Subdistrict.

Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said various events had been lined up in line with the theme of ‘We Are One.’

He expressed confidence that the theme would inspire local leaders and elected representatives to strengthen ties among different ethnic groups, fostering unity within the community.

“With regards to this event, the Sarawak Government is focused on improving people’s lives and accelerating development, especially in coastal areas.

“The government is also finalising a comprehensive development plan for Pusa District, using its natural resources and urban development efforts,” he said.

He said this in his text of speech read out by Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas during the opening ceremony of Tandang Sari Regatta 2024 at Dataran Tandang Sari here, today (Sept 15).
