BINTULU: Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming promptly addressed the sewage plant leakage problem in Jalan Allamanda, Taman Bandar Jaya here, instructing the staff of the Sarawak Sewerage Service Department (JPPS) Bintulu to resolve the issue immediately.

The sewage plant leakage in the housing estate had led to cloudy and foul-smelling water, adversely affecting the lives of nearby residents.

Pang, who personally inspected the situation on-site, urged relevant parties to expedite the resolution of the sewage plant leakage to prevent further inconveniences for the residents. Additionally, he discovered a theft issue involving a water pump in the same housing estate.

“Due to the theft of the water pump in Taman Bandar Jaya, the sewage pumping process from the underground sewer system malfunctioned, resulting in leakage and foul smells that caused discomfort for the residents,” he said.

Strongly condemning the irresponsible act of stealing water pumps, he described it as a disregard for public interests for personal gain, leading to disruptions in sewage treatment operations and inconvenience for the residents.
