KUCHING: Tanjong Datu assemblywoman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu donated 100 food packages to frontliners in conjunction with the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Gawai Dayak celebrations.

The items, through the #SkuadSayangN3 effort, were distributed to several locations on Wednesday.

According to a statement, 37 packages were sent to the Lundu police headquarters, 28 were delivered to police, immigration and customs personnel at Biawak CIQ, Lundu, and 35 delivered to Telok Melano GOF.

During the delivery to Telok Melano GOF, Batu Kawa Battalion 11 officer Supt Rosdi Inai thanked Jamilah for the contributions.

Meanwhile, Jamilah said: “During the movement control order (MCO), we sit at home and celebrate the festive season together while police, soldiers, immigration and customs personnel ensure our country’s safety.”

“That is why I gave donations in the form of cookies, biscuits and drinks to thank them for taking care of us. Selamat Hari Raya and Gawai Dayak to them,” Jamilah said in a Facebook post.
