SARIKEI: The Sarawak Kembara Merdeka Convoy group had an exhilarating experience as they set foot on Tanjung Lusam Beach for the very first time.
Accompanying them was Datuk Len Talif Salleh, the Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration, and Environment, who recognized the area’s potential as a captivating new tourist attraction.
According to him, the area possesses stunning beaches that hold immense promise for development into a resort.
“It is indeed a fortunate opportunity for the convoy group to visit this area, as it will undoubtedly create cherished memories during their stay in Sarikei,” he expressed.
Furthermore, he emphasized that Teluk Lusam offers additional options for visitors, especially nature enthusiasts seeking relaxation and recreational activities.
“In addition to Tanjung Lusam Beach, Sarikei boasts other captivating locations such as Wong Sungai Munsoh, Ulu Bayong, Belawai Beach, Nanga Dong Julau Waterfall, and Rajang River,” he added.
Len Talif, who also serves as the Kuala Rajang assemblyman, highlighted that the Sarikei region has the potential to stimulate the economy through agro-tourism activities that can be enjoyed by visitors, making it an appealing tourist destination.
