Tar-sealed roads soon for Kakus longhouses

MUKAH:  Dalat and Mukah District Council (MDDM) will soon be ugrading three roads worth RM356,000 to three separate longhouses in Kakus constituency.

On Monday a simple handing over ceremony of project sites from three longhouse chiefs to three contractors was held at three separate longhouses.

Longhouse chiefs Jabat Naga, Nyalu Francis and Albert Mujah handed over the contract documents to Hillary Raping from Albare Enterprise, Mohd Hazrye (Syarikat Saidina) and Regemi Dahari (Azam Design) respectively.

MDDM councillor Nelson Chuat Glong witnessed the ceremony. He was representing Native Laws and Customs Assistant Minister Kakus assemblyman Datuk John Sikie Tayai.

MDDM engineer Jasmeer Zaisufir Sufian, assistant engineer Safina Mustapa and Nur Hidayah Kassim from Mukah District Office also attended the event.

Albare Enterprise will upgrade the 107-metre road to Rumah Jabat Naga at Bergeri, Jalan Selangau-Mukah at a cost of RM71,000, and scheduled to complete in three months.

The 206-metre road to Rumah Nyalu Francis at Bukit Dinding, Jalan Selangau-Mukah, valued at RM180,000 will be built by Syarikat Saidina, and scheduled to complete in four months.

For the 101-metre road worth RM105,000 to Rumah Albert Mujah at Bukit Dinding, Jalan Selangau-Mukah, Azam Design is tasked to complete it in three months.

All the projects are implemented under the state’s Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).
