KUCHING: More than 50 tattoo artists will be gathering at the 2020 Kuching Tattoo Expo from July 3 to 5.
Expo organising chairman Boi Skrang said that the expo to be held at the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) hall would attract local visitors and tourists as well as tattoo enthusiasts.
He added that the expo would be similar to past events held in Kuching and Miri.
He also explained that through the expo, members of the public could learn about traditional tattoos which is a part of Sarawak’s culture.
Boi, a tattoo artist himself, said among the activities that would be carried out would be the best tattoo design – modern and traditional categories.
“For tattoo enthusiasts and the general public who are interested to join the expo, the entrance fee will be RM5.
“For those who wants to get a tattoo, they can make a prior booking or just walk-in to the expo,” he told New Sarawak Tribune yesterday.
Boi revealed that the organisers target some 5,000 visitors to attend the three-day expo. The 2020 Kuching Tattoo Expo is organised by Boi’s tattoo studio, Skrang Tattoo Studio and Inkzation Tattoo Studio owned by Nicholas Jenta.
