The teacher detained by police after he was found positive for drugs during an anti-drug operation in Sundar Sub-District.

LAWAS: A school teacher and his two sons were arrested by police after they were found positive for drugs during an anti-drug operation in Sundar Sub-District recently.

The suspects, aged 50, 20 and 22 years, were detained at the teachers’ quarters by a police team from the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) led by ASP Jason Baya.

A urine test was carried out and all three suspects were found positive for methamphetamine.

Further investigation revealed the school teacher has a previous criminal record related to drugs last year.

Lawas District Police chief, DSP Abang Zainal Abidin said police were investigating the case under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952.
