KUCHING: A total of 80 teachers from primary and secondary schools around Mukah attended the Engineering Technology Design (RBT) course recently.

This two-day course was organised by the Mechanical Engineering Department of Mukah Polytechnic (PMU) in collaboration with the Training and Continuous Education Unit (ULPL) for the Lifelong Learning Programme (PSH).

PMU in a statement said the course aimed to share expertise with teachers and provide exposure to the latest developments in design and current technology.

“At the same time, it aims to build a close relationship between the Polytechnic and schools, introduce the Polytechnic and the courses it offers.

“In addition, it provides exposure to teachers regarding the latest developments in design and engineering technology, including digital technology, prototypes, and relevant industrial applications,” it said.

With this knowledge, teachers can update their curriculum and teaching methods and provide better exposure to students about the potential and opportunities in this field.
