SARIKEI: Teachers are essential in driving innovation to strengthen the Teaching and Learning (PdP) process, especially in today’s era of digital education.

Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development, Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, highlighted that teachers’ innovative efforts are key to transforming PdP in line with the rapid advancements in digital technology.

He further said that many teachers in this district already have strong ICT skills that can be leveraged to create digital innovations, enhancing students’ academic performance.

“We believe that innovation competitions like this will continue to motivate more teachers to participate actively, ensuring that education in Sarikei remains current and aligned with ongoing developments,” he said.

He said this in his text of speech read by Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development, Datuk Dr. Annuar Rapa’ee, at the launch of the Collection of Teacher PdP Innovation Projects and the Sarikei District Education Office Innovation Awards 2024, held on Thursday.
