SIBU: Chinese community leaders are urged to cooperate and work together as a team to serve the community better.

In this regard, Sibu Chinese Community Leaders Association chairman Temenggong Datuk Vincent Lau said that the association will continue to dedicate its efforts to expand the influence and impact of Chinese community leaders here.

“I believe they will continue to grow in harmony, ready to face challenges, excel and advance this district,” he said at the association’s 2023-2024 Oath-taking Ceremony and Chinese New Year celebration recently.

Lau also congratulated the newly appointed Committee Board for stepping up and meeting the challenge.

“This swearing-in ceremony symbolizes the renewal of the members’ commitment to the association’s values, mission, and vision as they begin another year towards positive change,” he said.

The swearing-in ceremony was witnessed by Sibu Resident, Wong Hee Sieng.

Also present were Selangau District Officer Inting Nyami, Kanowit District Officer Jackline Ogos, and Pemanca Datuk Jason Tai.
