SERIAN: Contractors and entrepreneurs are urged to venture into various fields to expand business opportunities.

According to Tebedu assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada, contractors and entrepreneurs, especially in the Tebedu area, should seek business opportunities to boost the local economy.

“Contractors and agricultural entrepreneurs should be smart in finding opportunities instead of just waiting for projects from the service centre.

“Venture into other areas, expand your business, and do not just be licence holders while others execute the projects.”

Dr Sinang said this at the closing ceremony of the Entrepreneurship Skills Course in Kampung Pichin here yesterday (July 3).

He added that the Sarawak government is working on developing agricultural roads to open up idle lands for commercial crops such as palm oil, coffee, and other plants that can generate income for villagers.

“The Tebedu community, still categorised as poor, must strive to be on par with other districts in Sarawak.”
