TEBEDU: The Native Customary Right (NCR) land surveying work application for agricultural lots from Kampung Lanchang and Labak Tungan has been approved and the surveying work is expected to start in August.
This was disclosed by Serian Division’s Land and Survey Department land administration assistant, Attin Rimpa during the NCR Land Survey Dialogue at Serian District Office Meeting Room yesterday.
He said that the initiative of the NCR land documentation project since 2013 by the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) previously had greatly facilitated and even accelerated the work of NCR land surveying in the field as well as resolving border and land ownership issues between family members and villages.
For the record, a total of 714 agricultural land lots have been documented to be measured and gazetted under section 18 of the Sarawak State Land Code (KTN).
Of the total, 165 land lots are agricultural land in Kampung Lanchang Sijo and Kampung Labak Tungan while 384 lots are in Kampung Lanchang Sabai.
