TEBEDU: Tebedu assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada handed over four project sites in his constituency recently totalling RM650,000.

The projects include the upgrading of agricultural roads and the construction of new roads to newly settled areas under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).

Dr Sinang said the purpose of constructing new roads is to assist rural farmers and planters in cultivating their idle land with commercial crops such as pineapples, maize, durian, and oil palm.

According to him, the rural population depends on agricultural yields, and the construction of new roads can transform their economic status to be more productive and sustainable by 2030.

He said that the projects will be carried out by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) Serian Division and expected to take six months to complete.
