MIRI: A teenager was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a ditch at KM77, Miri-Bintulu Road on Sunday.
State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the incident occurred around 6.30pm near Rumah Mandau.
The teenager, identified as 19-year-old Sylvester Kenneth Augustin Embie, was believed to be on his way home.
“He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical officers,” Alexson said in a statement yesterday.
Sylvester’s body was later sent to Miri Hospital for further action.
Alexson said the case was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
