SIBU: A teenage girl was rescued by members of the public after she allegedly fell into a river from Pasar Sungai Merah Bridge this morning (Sept 17).
The incident happened around 8.40 am and firefighters from Sungai Merah station were promptly dispatched to the scene.
When they arrived at the scene, the 17-year-old victim, who was unharmed, had already been rescued by the public.
The girl was later handed over to the police and sent to Sibu Hospital for further evaluation.
