BETONG: A teenager succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment after he was involved in a car-motorcycle crash at Beladin road here last Monday (Oct 19).
The victim, identified as Muhammad Aifil Irfan Abdullah, was riding a motorcycle with his friend when the incident occurred at 4pm.
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the accident took place when the motorcycle crashed into the rear of the car, which was heading into a junction.
As a result, the motorcyclist and his pillion rider, both 14 years old, sustained body injuries and were rushed to Beladin Health Clinic for immediate treatment.
Muhammad Aifil was pronounced dead while receiving treatment in the clinic’s emergency room.
Alexson added that the other victim was referred to Sarikei Hospital for further treatment.
