SIBU: Sibu Melanau Association (PMS) Teku Zone emerged champions in the Inter-PMS Zone Tenpin Bowling competition held at Sibu Superbowl here Sunday.
PMS Teku Zone amassed a total of 1,059 pinfalls to take home cash prize plus trophy and hamper.
PMS Sibu Jaya Zone and PMS Nangka Zone finished first and second runners-up respectively to receive cash prizes plus trophy and hamper each.
Four others teams, namely PMS Permai Zone, PMS Jeriah Zone, PMS Exco and PMS Usahajaya Salim Zone each received a consolation prize and hamper.
PMS chairman Mohd Anis Ili who gave away the prizes said he was delighted that the competition received overwhelming response from members of PMS here.
“This has shown that we as members of PMS have the spirit of cooperation and are united in supporting all of the programmes organised by the association. I hope that all members of PMS will continue give their support toward the programmes that will be organised by the association in future,” he said.
The organising chairman Kuswadi Kana was among those present at the closing ceremony.
