LUBOK ANTU: Life is not going to be the same anymore for residents in Rantau Kemayau Manis in Engkari here as they will have better internet connectivity when a telecommunications tower is built in their area soon.

Lubok Antu MP Roy Angau Gingkoi said with the tower will allow the residents to have better access to the Internet.

“At the same time, students can also benefit when there is a telecommunications tower, where they can make use of the internet for educational purposes,” he said during the ‘Ngiling Bidai’ ceremony at Rumah Liam, Rantau Kemayau Manis (Reraka), Engkari here recently.

At the event, he also approved a Minor Rural Project (MRP) fund amounting to RM20,000 for the Rumah Liam Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK).

Meanwhile, RM5,000 each was approved for Rumah Manggie in Bawi and the RTM Sri Aman Recreational Club while the SK Ulu Engkari Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) received RM3,000.
