MUKAH: The establishment of an education bureau under the Tellian state constituency is an important initiative for the development of human capital, especially in the Mukah area.

Assemblyman Royston Valentine said its purpose is to plan and implement programmes and human capital development activities through an educational platform.

“This is because, we believe education will be able to change the fate and future of the family for the better.

“In that regard, we can see the success of students in the SPM and the STPM 2022 which showed an improvement.

“For SPM, the passing percentage was 91.5 per cent with four students getting straight A’s. While for STPM, the passing percentage was 98.94 with and two students achieving a GPA of 4.0,” he said at the Education Bureau’s Appreciation and Award Ceremony here, on Friday.

He presented RM21,900 in incentives to 105 outstanding SPM students and for STPM students, a total of 45 students received incentives totalling RM7,800.
