MUKAH: Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine reiterated that he would pursue the development agenda planned by his predecessor Yussibnosh Balo.
“Like what I said during the recent state poll, I will proceed with the development agenda of this area as planned byYussibnosh.
“I will continue to reach him towards this end as we still need his guidance,” said Royston at an election machinery appreciation gathering for his constituency at Kingwood Hotel here recently.
He said it was his intention that residents of the area should benefit accordingly from the planned development plans.
Apart from that, Royston also talked about the challenges he faced as soon as he received the letter to be the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate in the 12th state election in December.
“I was the last candidate to be nominated … various challenges arose simultaneously, involving even emotions because it happened in such a short time,” he added.
“I am very grateful that we had a very strong election machinery led by the former assemblyman as the Director of Operations.
“It is hoped that he will continue to visit and I will continue to refer to him.”
The event also featured solo singing performances, lucky draws and a cake-cutting ceremony.
