KUCHING: In conjunction with the naming of Kuching as the ‘Creative City of Gastronomy’, by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation), Kuching South City Council (MBKS) is launching a Tik Tok campaign and competition to tell the world the best places to eat in the city.

The council is calling on the city’s residents to send it a 30-second video.

Mayor of MBKS, Datuk Wee Hong Seng added that the council was also gearing up for the launch of Kuching Festival which was coming back after a lapse of two years.

“In Tik Tok style, taken in their favorite food and beverage outlets, the residents will tell us why their choices top their lists and why Kuching deserves the title of “Creative City of Gastronomy’.

“The best way to learn about Kuching’s food is from a local, so we have hit on this Tik Tok competition.

“All languages spoken in Sarawak are welcome, and subtitles are recommended when necessary. The video must be less than 30 seconds and follows the Tik Tok’s format.
