KUCHING: The Ministry of Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development will introduce a template to guide non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and charitable organisations in the state when applying for funds to implement its programmes.

Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah emphasised that these organisations must submit their grant applications, outlining their activities, target groups, objectives, and other relevant details in their proposals.

“If the activities align with our current focus on the 14 social issues, then you are on the right track and have come to the right channel.

“I believe many NGOs in Sarawak are very sincere in their work and are committed to ensuring the well-being of the target groups it serves,” she said.

She made these remarks while speaking to reporters after inaugurating the Woo Woo Charity Market at The Hills Shopping Mall on Friday (Sept 6.)

She also mentioned that she would instruct the responsible officer to prepare the specific template soon.
In her closing speech, she expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the charity market especially the NGOs.
