KUCHING: About 150 recipients received food donation from Pertubuhan Penyokong Ngee Kee Tng temple here at Jalan Ang Cheng Ho yesterday.

Officiating at the presentation ceremony was Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Pertubuhan Penyokong Ngee Kee Tng temple gave the food donation as its Chinese New Year gift to the underprivileged.

Dr Sim praised the temple, saying caring attitude and kindness among Sarawakians shine on occasions like this.

“I am glad to see the people here unite, regardless of different races and religious backgrounds — such as the lion dance association that has Bidayuh, Iban, and the Chinese people as members.

“It shows that as Sarawak is full of prosperity, thus Sarawakians want to share prosperity with each other,” he said.
