KUCHING: Jalan Kuching- Bau (KM6 + 850) near Siniawan will be temporarily closed from Oct 9 until Dec 8.
In a press statement issued by the Public Works Department (JKR) today (October 8), it was stated that the road closure is necessary due to cracks and holes on the road surfaces, including slopes.
JKR has advised road users to utilise the Jalan Siniawan route during this period of road closure, while heavy vehicles are encouraged to use the Pan Borneo highway to ensure a safe and smooth maintenance work process.
“We would like to apologise for any inconveniences caused,” JKR said..
