KUCHING: The Public Works Department (JKR) will carry out maintenance works and thus will cause half-way closures on two roads on the Kuching/Samarahan Expressway from December 9 to December 12.
According to PWD’s statement yesterday, the two locations are the road from Wisma SALCRA to Bulatan INTAN and the road from Bulatan INTAN to Samarahan (Wisma Min Liong).
“The temporary closure of half of the road for both roundabouts will be carried out from 9 pm until 4 am to carry out repair work and the resurfacing of the road surfaces,” said the statement.
Accordingly, road users are asked to be careful when driving on the road during the repair work period and to comply with all traffic management for safety until the repair work is completed.
The Southern Regional Office of PWD Sarawak will inform from time to time if there is any change in the date, time or area involved with these works.
PWD also advises road users to plan their journey in the affected areas. We regret any inconveniences caused, the press released said.
