KUCHING: Malaysian Productivity Corporat ion (MPC) Sarawak Region had scheduled 18 new business excellent programmes for all category of organisations in private and public sector next year.
Disclosed by the MPC Sarawak Region Director, Tengku Azmi Tengku Majid, the programme would comprised three main sectors, namely Senior Managers, Middle Management and Non- Executive, and Executors.
“There are 58 programmes in total that will be implemented next year,” he said during the launching of ‘Supplier Engagement Workshop 2’ at MPC Sarawak Region in Demak here yesterday.
He added that the programmes would be divided based on the programme level such as Foundation, Recommended, and Advanced. “The benefit of the executors’ programme will be a recognition from the Industry Excellent Award (AKI).
“AKI is the highest national business excellence award, organised by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI),” said Azmi. Meanwhile, for Sarawak, the recognition will be the Chief Mini s ter Indus t r y Excel lent Awards (CMIEA) which uses the Malaysia Business Excellent Framework (MBEF) as an assessment criteria.
“The MBEF was divided into seven criterias, namely Leadership, Planning, Information, Customers, Employers, Process and Outcome. “The prog ramme i s MPC Sarawak region initiative programme of Business Excellence which focused on one of the MBEF criteria, namely Process. “It is aimed to produce good teamwork in service delivery.
Our mission is to have the most excellent organisation in this state that will become the benchmark in Malaysia,” he added.
