KUANTAN: Terengganu FC threw away a two-goal advantage to share the spoils in a 2-2 draw against Sri Pahang FC in a Super League match at the Darul Makmur Stadium here last night.

Terengganu FC, beaten 4-0 by Selangor FC in their earlier match, looked to have over-come that setback by dominating the early proceedings and drawing first blood in the 17th minute through Liridon Krasniqi’s attempt but was well saved by Sri Pahang goalkeeper Mohd Izham Tarmizi Roslan.

However, a few minutes later Mohd Izham was beaten when Terengganu’s Swedish-born striker Omid Nazari headed in a corner kick from Liridon in the 25th minute.

Terengganu added the second in the 71st minute through Nazari’s beautifully taken freekick to give his side a two-goal advantage and register his second goal of the night.

Despite leading 2-0, Terengganu went on the offensive in search of more goals and that proved costly when Sri Pahang, coached by Singaporean legend Fandi Ahmad, struck twice in quick succession to snatch a point.
