SARATOK: The mandatory quarantine period for the occupants of Rumah Sidah in Sungai Brangan here ended today as test results had shown no positive cases among its occupants.

The results from the second swab tests for 58 occupants of the longhouse as well as 31 students and 11 teachers at SMK Saratok here were also confirmed negative.

Datuk Ali Biju, Saratok MP expressed that he shared the same sense of relief with the locals on the good news.

“I also pray and hope that the results of the second swab tests for 69 residents of Rumah Desmond Sungan near Kamidan Jaya will also come out negative.

“They had undergone a second test on Feb 18 and are now waiting for the results,” stated Ali Biju when contacted today.

In the meantime, he called on Saratok residents to remain vigilant, comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adopt the new norm practices so that there will be no more positive cases in Saratok district.
