MIRI: It doesn’t matter if it is a human or an animal victim. To the Civil Defence Force (APM), every life is important.

A dog was rescued from a monsoon drain in Senadin by the local APM on Thursday (Aug 22).

The rescue operation was initiated after the APM received a distress call from concerned members of the public around 12.40 pm.

The dog, which had been spotted struggling inside the drain, was in a helpless state when passers-by noticed its plight.

The public quickly alerted the authorities, leading to a swift response from the APM.

Upon arrival, the APM team efficiently executed the rescue, taking less than 10 minutes to bring the dog to safety using a specialised tool designed for such situations.

The quick and successful rescue was met with relief and gratitude from the local community, highlighting the importance of prompt action in emergency situations involving animals.
