Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) vice president Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah it was important to ensure a stronger voice in parliament to continue the fight for Sarawak’s rights.

“All 31 parliamentary seats that GPS is contesting must be won by us. Let us continue to bring more development to the country that we love and this continuity can only be done if we stay united.

“Let us win this GE15 handsomely and prove to the peninsular that Sarawak is united,” he said this at the launch of GPS machinery for Kota Samarahan at Summer Shopping Mall on Monday (Nov 7).

Abdul Karim, who is also the GPS election director for Kota Samarahan, hoped to see the GPS incumbent win by a majority of 30,000 votes.

“I hope that we can achieve a majority of over 30,000 votes.

“This can only be achieved if every voter in this constituency comes out and votes on polling day,” he said.

He stressed that the party machinery should give its all in fighting against its opponent, Pakatan Harapan (PH), which is a Malaya-based coalition.

“This is a Malayan coalition that is trying to divide us.

“We must learn our lesson after being 22 months under PH government where projects that could bring greater development to the state are all cancelled.

“Therefore, let us all support GPS, a local coalition that comprises Malays, Chinese, Ibans, Bidayuhs and many other ethnic groups.

“Let us show them how Sarawak is governed and I believe that there is no other party that can provide harmony and security except GPS,” said Abdul Karim.

At the event, he also presented election kits to party machinery workers, namely Zul Nono from Asajaya branch, Malik Manap (Muara Tuang) and Sarqawi Suhaili (Stakan).
