KUCHING: From yesterday until this 17 September there is an exhibition on ‘The Most Fabric Flowers In The World’ here at CityOne Megamall.

With the theme ‘Rise Up Like Flowers, Unifies As Fabrics’, it is meant to change the perception of the community on the art of sewing whereby it is not just a hobby but can also be a source of income.

On 3 November last year, Mostwell Sdn Bhd through the Persatuan Seni Jahitan Kreatif (PSJK), Perbadanan Putrajaya, and Malaysia Prison Department succeeded in breaking the Guiness World Record for the most fabric flowers in the world.

As many as 63,682 fabric flowers were produced by various organisations in the country including the Prison Department, schools, and government agencies. Those who wish to enquire more may contact the programme coordinator Thien Tsui Yan at 016 833 6723.
