KUCHING: The Maksak Sarawak Rugby 10s tournament kicked off at the UNIMAS synthetic field today (Oct 5), featuring teams from Sibu, Betong, Samarahan, and Miri.
The tournament is divided into two groups: Group A consists of Maksak Sibu, Maksak Betong, Maksak Kuching, and PDRM, while Group B includes Maksak Samarahan, Bomba, and Maksak Miri.
This event also provides a fantastic opportunity for rugby players to experience the state-of-the-art field.
“It’s fantastic, especially in terms of quality. The surface is much easier on the body,” said Kuching Rugby Football Club (KRFC) captain Nick Dexter.
He praised the conditions and the environment of the new synthetic rugby field.
The new synthetic surface is perfect for tackling and enhancing overall performance.
“It’s an excellent field for tackling and honing our skills,” he added.
