Sometimes the obvious and simple truth is ignored,
The dishonest intellect becomes lazy and careless,
The truth is brushed aside,
And the obvious not seen,
That’s when the rot sets in;
And the seeds of disaster planted.
Whatever may be the reason, and rhyme,
It’s a fatal mistake, and a crime,
To ignore the obvious, and simple truth,
Disaster lurks in the innocuous,
Temptations hide, in the attractive;
Pay a little attention, and be safe!
