MIRI: Thieves are believed to have smashed their way into Sibuti Youth Activity Centre to steal some of the recreational equipment, including a speaker and weightlifting items.
A police report was lodged after the discovery of the incident today morning.
Police believed that the thieves had gained access into the centre by smashing its window and cutting off the iron grill.
“The burglars have left the centre in a mess as they ransacked belongings inside the storage boxes, looking for valuables,” disclosed one of the centre’s caretakers.
The police are currently tracking down the culprits.
