KUCHING: Nearly 4,000 guests attended the Hari Raya open house hosted by federal Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.
The open house held at Wisma Sabati was from 10am to 3pm on yesterday (April 25).
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang were among the visitors.
Meanwhile, the ministry’s various target groups, especially charitable organisations, were so invited.
The attendees included those from Senior Citizens Activity Centres (PAWE), Community-Based Rehabilitation Centres (PPDK), children’s home, and people with disabilities (OKU) athletes.
Guests were entertained with a variety of Raya songs and served with sumptous food, including all kinds of traditonal cakes.
Among the visitors were Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Deputy Premier Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian; Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah; Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah; federal Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi; Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government, Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil; Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Dr Hazland Abang Hipni; Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi and Deputy Minister for Youth, Sport and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu.
