Three activities held to add merriment to Benak Festival closing

SRI AMAN: The Benak Kitchen Committee in collaboration with the Agriculture Department office here organised three activities to add merriment to the final day of the Sri Aman Benak Festival 2017 here last Sunday. The three activities were a Karaoke Contest for those 40 years and above, Creative, Beautiful and Clean Stall Contest and Benak Kitchen Children Singing Contest.

The final of the Karaoke Contest for those 40 years and above saw Hashim Haji Bolhassan of Spaoh emerged champion while Haji Shaidi Ahmad of Sri Aman and Bujang Seri of Sarikei emerged first and second runners-up, respectively. The three consolation prize winners were Salhah Wasli, Ramzila Ending and Awang Adam Haji Awang Rabaiee. The Benak Kitchen Children Singing Contest 2017 saw Mas Mohd Razif with his song ‘Aku Sanggup’ emerged champion.

The first and second runners-up were Eryllvianissa and Erryllene Renik, respectively. The Most Creative, Beautiful and Clean Benak Kitchen Contest was won by stall operator, Abang Bahran. Sapiah Drahman and Dayang Margaret emerged the first was second runners-up, respectively.

Prizes to winners of the three contests were presented by an officer of the Sri Aman Agriculture Department Office, Noor Hayati Haji Ahmad and Chairman of Kampung Tengah Neighbourthood Uni t, Abang Hamdan Abang Yasin.
