KUCHING: A phone shop owner found his shop at Yoshi Square broken into when he opened up for business at 8am last Monday.
The shop owner from Foochow Road said when he arrived at his shop early Monday morning he was shocked to find that the roller shutter has been prised open.
Upon further checking, the shop owner found out that the shop was in a mess. He also discovered that 11 hand phone sets, 20 power bank sets, 20 memory cards and a few cartons of cigarettes of various bands have been stolen.
In an unrelated case, a 34-year-old businessman from Foochow Road claimed in his police report that two men have taken away a forklift, cutter and heavy machinery pump for his factory at Demak Laut Industrial Park last Sunday afternoon.
He said that two men unknown to him had entered the factory at 4.45 pm before they took away the items.
In another case, an assistant headmistress of a school at Siol Kandis, Jalan Sultan Tengah here found that a whiteboard in the school was smashed.
Also broken were window panels in the school hall and perimeter fence cut. A radio and two compact discs were also stolen.
Police are investigating the cases.
