KUCHING: Three Covid-19 related deaths were recorded on Wednesday (March 16).
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said in its daily update that the deaths were reported in Sibu Division and the victims had passed away in Sibu Hospital.
The first victim on March 13 was a 91-year-old woman who had a medical history of high blood pressure, while the second death involved a 77-year-old woman who had diabetes and dyslipidemia.
The third death was reported on March 15. It involved a 90-year-old woman who needed assistance in her daily life.
Meanwhile, SDMC said no new clusters were reported on Wednesday, while there are still five active ones in the state.
However, the Semuja Immigration Detention Depot (DTI) Semuja 3 Cluster in Serian saw an addition of four cases.
The other four active clusters are Jalan Batu Kaya Cluster in Lubok Antu, Kuching Waterfront Cluster in Kuching, DTI Bekenu 2 Cluster in Subis, and Lorong Cahaya Maju Cluster in Kuching.
