BETONG: Three food outlets here were ordered to close for 14 days for contravening Section 11 of the Food Act, 1983.

The order was issued by Betong Health Department enforcement officers led by Divisional Health Officer, Dr Johnny Pangkas and Environmental Health Officer, Raphael Engkayau during ‘Op Premis Bersih’ recently.

Johnny reminded food outlet operators to ensure that their premises are kept clean at all times.

Meanwhile, the health enforcement officers launched ‘Op Pemeriksaan Bazaar Ramadan’ to ensure the food and drinks sold by the stall operators were safe for consumption.
