SIBURAN: Three individuals sustained injuries, including a woman, following a car accident along Jalan Kuching-Siburan early this morning (Feb 18).

Bomba photo shows the injured driver being rescued out of the ditch on a stretcher.

The victims, believed to be a couple and their relative, were en route to Serian when their vehicle skidded and crashed into a ditch at approximately 5.17am.

A spokesman for the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Siburan station were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.

Upon arrival, they discovered a Perodua Myvi submerged in the ditch adjacent to the road.

Two of the victims, who sustained head and left shoulder injuries, were rescued from the vehicle by passers-by and they were brought up to the main road.

Meanwhile, the third victim (driver) was still in the ditch with a broken left arm, awaiting rescue.

The team used a stretcher to carry the driver out of the ditch.

All of the injured victims were rushed to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment.
