BINTANGOR: Three people were injured while two others escaped unharmed when a Toyota Hilux collided with a Proton Saga yesterday at Jalan KJD, Mile 13 around 3.15pm.
Eight firefighters from here led by PBK II Zulfaiza Mohamad rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call.
When they arrived, they found the victims had already been rescued by civilians and were taken to Julau Health Clinic.
To ensure that the road was safe for other vehicles, the firefighters cleaned the petrol spill and debris from the scene.
Those injured were a passenger in the Proton Saga Evanatalia Kandau (broken right leg) and two Hilux passengers Lawan Ampar and Sudau Ngeluh (minor injuries). The remaining two passengers Priscilla Ladang Jalin and Nyua Lawan escaped unharmed.
